i had a great time shooting Shiprock HS against Kirtland Central HS on Saturday…two district championships! i was pretty excited about it because i haven’t shot much basketball this season, and i was not let down. those Shiprock and Kirtland fans are passionate about their teams, and although the both games were pretty scrappy, there was a sense of great sportsmanship throughout. and the boy’s game at Chieftain Pit in Shiprock was PACKED. i didn’t get out of the parking lot for about an hour after the game was done — i’m really glad i took my laptop to send photos. enjoy

on a side note, i need to send my work 16-35mm 2.8 in to Canon for repair. the glass has been slowly slipping inside (or something like that) for awhile now, and images shot with that lens have been getting softer and softer for whatever is not in the dead-center. i shot with my personal 16-35 today to verify, and it’s a whole different world (the photos taken today are for a story later this week). it’s turning into a really expensive “LensBaby” lens! example below: -the guy on far left should not be that blurry-
